These zines are created for the love of our Dutch streets
It’s my personal project, where I would like to show photographs of the streets of the Netherlands to everyone and have them published in limited editions and especially only in print.
It all started with Dutch Street Magazine, a digital magazine. However I increasingly felt the need to do more offline and especially in print.
When I got in touch with Daan Heijbroek we founded State of Amsterdam in 2023. And finally realised the first print in January 2024.
The zines are curated, printed in limited editions and all participating photographers are contributing voluntarily and unpaid.
Each edition of the State has a maximum of 6 different photographers. The choice of photographers is made by invitation only.
However if you think your work would be a good fit for a zine, fill in the form with the links to your websites and/or social media.
We can then check to see if your photos match those of a specific zine before downloading anything.
You can contact the participating photographers directly if you would like to purchase an issue that features them.
I usually have a few copies myself as well to sell (to support this initiative). But first support your favorite photographer by buying it directly from them.
Besides making the zines, it's great to collaborate and help each other!
We are ...
The state of the city
The state of the streets
The state of our time
