“I could tell you my adventures beginning from this morning, but it’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
~Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
FOR MY OWN WORK
I TRY TO STICK TO JUST
8 SIMPLE RULES
1. STOP MAKING F*** BORING PHOTOS
2. It's true ... go CLOSER
3. Give yourself carte blanche - meaning :: "giving someone the freedom to do something entirely according to their own wishes." So there are NO RULES or restrictions; someone is given complete freedom.
4. It’s never too late to start over. If you weren’t happy with yesterday, try something different today! Don’t stay stuck. DO BETTER.
5. PRINT!! If your work is only digital, it's always behind a window, it's not TheRE IN THE REAL WORLD. you can't touch it, smell it, or EVEN lick it.
6. Why so serious? HAVE FUN!
7. Don't shoot for recognition, F*FOMO, F* the ALGORITHM - Haven't you noticed EVERYBODY exhibit, EVERYBODY get published, EVERYBODY GET likes and EVERYBODY win awards?
You don't have to measure yourself against that.
To be creatively free, you have to let go of your audience.
You only need one like from yourself!
In the end, it's about your entire body of work.
8. STOP MAKING F*** BORING PHOTOS
I know - common sense, not always common practise
